Three people are killed in a shooting at a hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi; the pursued perpetrator barricaded himself in the building, several miles from the scene. Police, who have cordoned off the entire neighborhood, are negotiating with the assailant.
The shooting occurred at the Biloxi Broadway Inn hotel. While fleeing, the assailant attacked another person, the Associated Press reports, quoting Captain Milton Houseman of the Biloxi Police Department.
The perpetrator barricaded himself in another building, and officers closed off access to the area. Police want to negotiate the attacker’s surrender. No shots were fired, authorities reported.
