The 14th pension today is more than just financial support. It is proof that the state treats with respect the people who have worked all their lives for our common prosperity,” Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stressed on Super Express.
Mateusz Morawiecki, in a letter addressed to seniors, reminded them that “fourteenths” payments are starting, which will bring more than PLN 1,200 into their wallets.
The Law and Justice government promised to take special care of seniors, and it is fulfilling this promise. Paying out the first ’14’, we said it was a one-time support. But the war and the crisis are hitting hard on the pockets of ordinary people, especially pensioners. When Poles’ finances are threatened, the government does not remain passive,” the prime minister said.
The head of government pointed out: We are doing everything to provide relief to Poles in this difficult time. High prices hurt less when there is more money in your wallet. That’s why, over the next month, your wallets will once again be supplied with the 14th pension.
“The 14th pension today is more than just financial support”.
The head of government acknowledged that this is a big expense for the state budget. – However, good budget management means that Poland can afford more even during the crisis than in the times of our predecessors. According to European statistics, we have some of the most balanced public finances in the European Union. And we are directing additional funds to those who need them, including you, the seniors,” he said.
According to Morawiecki, the 14th pension today is more than just financial support. – It is proof that the state treats with respect people who have worked all their lives for our common prosperity. Poland owes a debt of gratitude to the state, and the subsequent financial solutions – the 13th pension, the tax-free pension, now the 14th pension – are only a small part of the repayment of this debt, he assessed.
We are taking care of the financial security of pensioners not only by increasing pension benefits. The energy crisis caused by Russia has caused heating prices to rise significantly. But we have solutions here as well. Those of you who use coal stoves can already claim PLN 3,000 for fuel,” the head of the government pointed out.
Mateusz Morawiecki explained that “in a short while, people who heat their homes with pellets, fuel oil, wood or LPG will receive assistance on a similar basis. In addition, we have already reduced VAT on basic food products, fuel, electricity and gas to a minimum. For difficult times, Poland needs a good and responsible government. As long as Law and Justice is in power, this is the kind of government Poles can count on.”
