BREAKING: Explosion in village near the Ukrainian border. Two people are dead

Two people died as a result of an explosion in the village of Przewodów in the Hrubieszow district, near the border with Ukraine. Services, including representatives of the military, went to the site.

Przewody is a small town five kilometers from the Ukrainian border. It is known that the services received notification of the explosion before 4 p.m. They initially reported two fatalities and a destroyed tractor.

The explosion occurred near a grain dryer. Among other things, elements of local infrastructure and a farm tractor are destroyed, a police officer told local media.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, in consultation with the president, urgently convened a Committee of the Council of Ministers for National Security and Defense Affairs this afternoon. Government spokesman Piotr Müller told reporters of a “crisis situation” and appealed not to publish unverified information

A senior U.S. intelligence official says Russian missiles have reached Poland, killing 2 people, the Associated Press reports.
